The kids are all surviving the long winter. I am not so sure I am but am slightly wishing for some green grass. But the ash covered snow will have to suffice for now. Ariana has got senioritis and has been skipping and needs to be reminded by anyone else but her parents please, that she still has one more month. Aliyeh is participating in track and pulled a muscle. She is a funny kid and working on getting her permit to drive. I just got the other one to get her license. Caleb achieved the rank of tenderfoot in scouts. Loves to snowboard! Amir thanked me for getting the boys hooked onto the sport!! Tya is expanding her social life and loves to be out of the house. She wishes she could be big!! I want her to be small still. Thus the conflict!!
Micah has a love for money!! He is always doing extra chores and finding money wherever we go. His newest money making scheme is this: Micah: Are my teeth loose yet?
Mom: Not yet, Micah. Soon though.
Micah: Not soon enough I need money!!
Joshua is struggling a bit with his temper and coping with a mom that needs more tricks in her bag!! I just finished working taxes and am glad to be home again.

Snowboard Camp

For Spring Break, Micah and Caleb attended snow board camp.

They had a great time and learned all that they needed to know, they assured me!!

Aliyeh's 14th Birthday!!

Aliyeh learned to light the candles on her cake!!

Aliyeh has waited patiently? for her birthday to arrive. She got her cell phone and can now attend dances.
She loves sports, helping her mom, the color yellow, talking on facebook and the phone (both the land line and the cell phone) all at the same time, gets good grades, hunting for cute boys, shopping, trying new things, listening to her music, taking all the hot water in the morning, being an all around great, wonderful, lovely daughter.

January 2009

Christmas was very good for us. We enjoyed each other's company and had fun!! Everyone is back in school now and the weather was below zero for the past two weeks. Our outside activities consisted of seeing who could run the fastest from the car to the house. Amir's birthday was celebrated at Chuck E Cheese. He asked the kids where he should go for dinner and they suggested CEC. He is such a good dad to indulge them on their wishes. If it was me I do not think I could have been so generous. This week was a hard one for our family. I took Aiden down to live with his grandma in Las Vegas. It was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Give up a baby that I was sooooo attached to. But that was the original plan even if it took way longer than promised and through many prayers and support(thank you dad) I was able to get the task accomplished. I hope he is happy and knows that we love him very much. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Winter fun

The kids had a good winter vacation! We went to a lot of kid places and lunches at MCD's.

Aliyeh had a New Year's Eve party with her friends. Posted by Picasa
