My dear friend Cherie took these amazing photos of Aliyeh. I am in awe of her talent to capture my little girl's personality and beauty. Eighteen years has gone quickly. I have so enjoyed Aliyeh and her love, quirks, wildness, laughter, and spunk!
Pinewood Derby(part 895)
It seems we just had derby races. Micah spent hours on his car and Josh slapped his together at the last minute. It was Joshua's first derby and Micah's last. Joshua ended up winning the whole thing in first place. It was hard to explain to Micah that even though he put more time and effort into his car sometimes others win. Josh was in heaven. Not exactly the life lesson I wanted for the boys.
Miss Teen Alaska
Aliyeh turned 18 in February and also entered a pageant. She won Miss Congeniality, which she is teased endlessly about(if you have seen that movie). I was really proud of her choice to wear a modest dress and even though it was not what she wanted to wear. She held true to the standards that she had been taught. She looked so grown up and I know she can handle her own choices in the future. She is all grown up and saving China.
