Harvest Time!

Amir planted potatoes this year. Micah was the only one kind enough to help him harvest!
We did get zuchinni and lettuce.
Strawberries and raspberries were delicious.
I grew a plant that yielded 4 cucumbers that I ate all by myself. YUM!!
Must have been the volcanic ash- good fertilizer?

Denail Trip

Amir and I won train tickets to Denali National Park. We went for a weekend by ourselves!

Hurricane Gulch, it is 300 feet straight down with nothing but a tiny train track bridge!
It was exciting the first time but going home I was not so sure.

We stayed at the Denali Grande Hotel!
It is up on the mountain and we had some interesting experiences riding up and down on the shuttle bus.

Amir was a romantic date and we went on a horse drawn carriage ride with dinner at a cabin!
I thought he was being nice taking my picture until I looked at what was in the background!
No wonder he was laughing! That is Amir and he is mine!

Fair Fun!!

We went to the fair and had a great time wasting money!

The kids love to get their hair done!! But they do not like the hassel of trying to wash it out!

First day of school part 2

After a whole week of waiting, the two boys got to school. The district starts these two grades a week later to do assesments on each child.

Micah started first grade!

Joshua started Kindergarten!!

Joshua's 5th Birthday!!

Joshua turned 5 and is going to kindergarten. He is so excited. He loves to ride his bike, play basketball, play with his animals, and watch Narnia movies! He is good at doing his chores, playing quietly by himself, loves his dad, bugs Ariana, and learned to write his name. Happy Birthday Joshua!!!

Happy 12th Birthday!!

Caleb turned twelve this year!! He is sooo excited to be out of Primary! He is very good at helping with his younger siblings and plays with them whenever I need to get stuff done. He just earned his 1st class ranking in scouts. He is helpful and compassionate. He enjoys helping those around him. Caleb has a good sense of humor and makes me laugh!! We love you Caleb and look forward to this year with you!!
